Worker falls from scaffolding on Harvard’s Longwood campus, seriously injured

A worker was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after he fell from several stories of scaffolding on Harvard Medical School’s Longwood campus, Boston fire said.

The man fell from scaffolding set along Gordon Hall at about 2 p.m., according to Boston fire spokesman Steve MacDonald. He did not know exactly how far he fell but estimated it was “at least three stories.”

He was on the ground and firefighters immediately started first aid,” MacDonald said.

The man was in serious condition as Boston EMS took him to a local hospital.
