The crash damaged the canopy roof and rear stairs of the “Miss Emma Science” duck boat, operated by Boston Duck Tours, according to The Globe.
There were 20 people aboard the duck boat at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported, officials told The Globe.
A Boston Duck Tours spokesman said the duck boat driver was diverted off the standard tour route due to Beacon Street being closed. That driver was not cited, state police told The Globe.
Following two accidents earlier this year — including an April crash that killed a 28-year-old woman who was driving a scooter — Boston Duck Tours announced that starting next season, the company will add a second staff member aboard its vehicles.
