Police officers in Auburn, Massachusetts, were able to locate a five-week-old puppy that was allegedly stolen from its owner’s home early Monday morning.

Shortly after midnight on Monday, the Auburn Police Department responded to a call about a stolen 5-week-old American bulldog. Officers found the puppy in a Worcester residence with 23-year-old Amanda Milott. Officials charged Milott in connection with the alleged theft.

According to the Auburn Police Department, Milott was an associate of the dog’s owner and was interested in buying the puppy. After visiting the owner’s home, she reportedly grabbed the animal and fled after the owner left the room.

Milott was charged with larceny over $250, and she was arrested on an outstanding warrant for unrelated charges.

The puppy and its owner have been reunited.
