CLARKSBURG, Mass. (AP) — The mystery of a missing Massachusetts woman has deepened after her husband apparently took his own life.
The Berkshire district attorney’s office says 42-year-old Charles Reidy was discovered dead of an apparent suicide inside the garage of his Clarksburg home last week by officers conducting a well-being check at the request of family.
Authorities did not disclose the cause of death.
Reidy’s wife, 39-year-old Joanne Ringer, has been missing since March 2.

Ringer was scheduled to start her first shift as a taxi driver in Easthampton the night she disappeared, but never showed up for work. Her car was found abandoned in Easthampton on March 6.
Reidy spoke openly about his wife’s disappearance, telling a local newspaper he was worried about her and missed her.
The couple married in December.
