Suspect named in shooting of 2 after Easter church services

LYNN, Mass. (AP) — Police in Massachusetts have released the name of a man suspected of killing one man and injuring another as they walked home from Easter church services.

Authorities say 44-year-old William Cash has a lengthy rap sheet and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Cash, who is known to use multiple names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers, is suspected of fatally shooting 46-year-old Leonardo Clement and injuring 41-year-old Prince Belin on Sunday in Lynn.

Parishioners at Zion Baptist Church say the victims had just attended services.

Friends say both were involved in the civic life of the city and volunteered for the social justice group Essex County Community Organization.

Clement sang in the church choir and played in a steel drum band.

Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive.
