Suspect arrested in Framingham after police standoff

FRAMINGHAM — A man who fired at Framingham police officers before climbing to the roof of a pizza shop in an armed standoff with law enforcement was arrested late Thursday night, State Police announced on Twitter.

The man was arrested by the State Police SWAT team that responded to the scene at Slice of New York Pizza at 847 Edgell Road, according to the State Police.

The suspect fled there on foot after Framingham police responded to 14 Whiting Road for a report of a domestic altercation, said David Procopio, a spokesman for State Police.

A shelter-in-place order was issued for residents of the Edgell and Whiting road areas.
