–The Boston Globe, File

As usual, there will be a few MBTA service changes this weekend. Here’s a summary, according to MBTA service alerts:

Shuttle buses will replace the Red Line trolley from Ashmont to Mattapan on Sunday. However, there will be train service between Park Street and Kendall/MIT this weekend, thanks to the Head of the Charles Regatta.

Buses will also replace Orange Line service between Wellington and Oak Grove stations on Saturday and Sunday.

Commuter rail

The Haverhill Line will be replaced by buses until the end of service on Friday between Reading and Haverhill. Buses will also replace all Haverhill Line service on Saturday and Sunday while the MBTA installs federally mandated safety systems. An adjusted schedule is available here.

On the Fairmount Line, shuttle buses will replace all trains between Morton Street and Readville on Saturday until 6 p.m.

There is no Needham Line service on Saturday. A list of alternate transit options is available here.
