BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts transit officials are admonishing the operator of the state’s commuter rail system for poor service during and after the winter storm that walloped the Northeast last week.

The Boston Globe reports Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority General Manager Luis Ramirez met with Keolis Commuter Services officials Friday to express his disappointment. A transit spokesman said Ramirez told the officials to “raise their level of service.”

The company canceled more than two dozen trains while others faced severe delays when the storm hit Thursday. The system, which also serves parts of Rhode Island, didn’t fare much better Friday, when nearly every line experienced delays or cancellations.
