Springfield dad, mom and daughter plead guilty to drug charges

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts couple and their adult daughter have pleaded guilty to running a drug operation out of their apartment.

The Republican newspaper reports that 55-year-old Antonio Perez, of Springfield, agreed Thursday to accept a state prison sentence of up to six years so his wife and daughter could serve 2 ½ years in jail instead of prison.

Perez, his 44-year-old wife Magdalena Rodriguez and his 24-year-old daughter Yashira Perez, as well as a 44-year-old man who lived in the unit all pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of heroin with intent to distribute.

Police raided their apartment last March and found hundreds of bags of heroin, as well as cocaine, cash, a gun and items used to package and distribute drugs.
