A caller in Massachusetts told Florida authorities in November that Nikolas Cruz was a “school shooter in the making,’’ according to records from the Broward County sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office recently released a list of the calls it received about Cruz and his brother over the years. The last call listed on the four-page document — from Nov. 30, 2017 — came from a tipster in Massachusetts, records show.
The caller reported that Cruz was “collecting guns and knives’’ and was “concerned he will kill himself one day’’ and “believes he could be a school shooter in the making.’’ The unidentified caller told authorities that Cruz was no longer living in Parkland, Fla., and was now living in Lake Worth and might be keeping weapons at a friend’s house in an unknown location. The caller also said Cruz “wants to join the Army.’’
