HULL, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say an experienced scuba diver has died while diving off the coast of Massachusetts.

The Plymouth district attorney’s office says 67-year-old Nancy Siegel, of Dedham, was pulled from the waters off Hull just after 1 p.m. Sunday.

Life-saving measures were performed on the beach before she was taken to South Shore Hospital, where she was pronounced dead about an hour later.

Authorities say Siegel was a certified scuba diver who was at the beach with a group of other divers.

State police say Siegel’s equipment will be examined.

The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
