In N.H., former Mass. school principal indicted on multiple counts of sexual assault

A former Massachusetts school teacher and principal was indicted by a New Hampshire grand jury on multiple counts of sexual assault last month and has been arrested in Florida, police announced on Friday.

Richard Brunt, 74, of Lakeland, Fla., was arrested on June 26 and arraigned in a Florida court as a fugitive from justice on June 28, New Hampshire State Police said in a statement.

Brunt had declined to voluntarily return to New Hampshire to answer for charges he sexually assaulted an individual between June 1999 and June 2000 in Hillsborough County, according to court documents.
