46-year-old man dies in Concord industrial incident

The victim was reportedly working in a crawl space on a boiler system at Emerson Hospital when the incident occurred.

A 46-year-old Hudson man died around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in an industrial incident at Emerson Hospital in Concord, officials confirmed in a press release from the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.

The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was working in a crawl space on a boiler system in the hospital at the time, officials said.

The Concord Fire Department responded to the scene and administered emergency assistance in conjunction with the hospital’s emergency department, according to the release.

State police were notified of the incident by Concord police and fire, the release said.

The death is not considered suspicious, but an open investigation into the incident by authorities, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, is ongoing, according to officials.
