MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — A worker in a utility bucket cutting down a tree and disturbed a beehive is being treated for numerous bee stings, along with five neighbors who tried to help him.

WMUR-TV reports a Manchester, New Hampshire, fire department official said the worker was strapped in the bucket and was immediately stung by hundreds of bees Thursday morning. He was hospitalized; his condition wasn’t immediately known. The neighbors also were stung.

The tree has been removed and buried in a landfill.
