New Hampshire worker cutting down tree stung by hundreds of bees
Five neighbors who tried to help the man were also stung.
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — A worker in a utility bucket cutting down a tree and disturbed a beehive is being treated for numerous bee stings, along with five neighbors who tried to help him.
WMUR-TV reports a Manchester, New Hampshire, fire department official said the worker was strapped in the bucket and was immediately stung by hundreds of bees Thursday morning. He was hospitalized; his condition wasn’t immediately known. The neighbors also were stung.
The tree has been removed and buried in a landfill.
A pest control company is spraying the remaining bees in the area.
