Police say Mattapan homicide victim is identified

BOSTON (AP) — A Massachusetts man who was fatally shot has been identified.

Police say 28-year-old Dahrius Hollins was shot at 4:30 a.m. Sunday in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston, along with a second man.

Hollins was rushed to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The second victim has injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

Police do not yet know the motive of the attack, and no arrests have been made. An investigation is underway, and the Boston Police Homicide Unit is asking anyone with information about the shooting to call detectives.
