An East Bridgewater man pleaded guilty on Monday to stealing a TV and car from a Mashpee woman during their Tinder date in 2016, the Cape Cod Times reports.

Michael Decoteau, 37, was sentenced to two years of probation, given credit for six months of jail time already served, and ordered to pay $1,500 in restitution over the next two years, according to the Times.

The 37-year-old met the victim on Tinder, and, after exchanging text messages and calls, they agreed to meet at the woman’s Mashpee apartment. After a night of drinking, the woman woke up the next morning to find her date gone, along with her 50-inch TV, car, cellphone, and debit card, according to the newspaper.

Decoteau was initially indicted on charges of rape, larceny of a vehicle, intimidating a witness, and three counts of larceny over $250, but the rape charge was later dismissed. On Monday, he pleaded guilty to three counts of larceny over $250 and one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
