Dead white shark found on Truro beach

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy said researchers will take samples to determine what happened.

A dead white shark was found on a Truro beach Thursday morning.

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy said they received a call about the carcass at Pamet Harbor and that researchers from the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have been contacted to come and take samples.

The juvenile male shark is estimated to be about 9 feet long, according to the conservancy.
