BOSTON (AP) — U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren has two Labor Day events as she ramps up her re-election campaign.
The Massachusetts Democrat plans to start Monday addressing union members at the Central Massachusetts AFL-CIO Annual Labor Day Breakfast in West Boylston.
Warren then plans to zip over to the Greater Boston Labor Council Annual Labor Day Breakfast at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel — one of organized labor’s biggest events in Massachusetts, typically attracting some of the state’s top political figure.
Others expected to address the breakfast include U.S. Sen. Edward Markey, U.S. Rep. Michael Capuano, Attorney General Maura Healey and Boston Mayor Martin Walsh — all Democrats. Capuano is in a tough primary fight with Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley.
Massachusetts AFL-CIO President Steve Tolman also is expected to address the crowd.
