Stoughton man dies in Rhode Island motorcycle crash

He was wearing a helmet at the time.

A 31-year-old Stoughton man died Sunday morning in a motorcycle crash in Pawtucket, Rhode Island State Police said.

Raymond J. Atnip was driving south on Interstate 95 around 10:30 a.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle on a curve and crashed into a concrete barrier in the high-speed breakdown lane, police said in a statement. He was ejected from the motorcycle.

Atnip was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where was he was pronounced dead, police said. He was wearing a helmet when he crashed.
