Victim pulled from Milford pond Saturday dies

A young man who was pulled from the water of a Milford pond Saturday died on Sunday afternoon, Milford police Chief Thomas O’Loughlin said in an e-mail to the Globe.

The victim had been pulled from North Pond after he had gone under water Saturday afternoon, Milford police previously said in a statement posted to Facebook Saturday. He was not identified but described as a “young man’’ by police.

“He was brought to the surface by bystanders and residents in the area on watercraft and administered CPR first aid’’ by local residents, Milford police, and firefighters, the statement said.
