ATV crash in Massachusetts leaves one teenager dead, another injured

The accident occurred Sunday afternoon in Huntington, and involved two 14-year-old boys.

A 14-year-old boy died over the weekend when the all-terrain vehicle he was operating crashed in Huntington, according to a press release from the Northwestern District Attorney’s office.

The passenger of the ATV, another 14-year-old boy, sustained nonlife-threatening injuries in the accident, which occurred around 1:30 p.m. Sunday on Sampson Road, the release said. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Authorities have not released the identity of either victim.
