Middleborough man charged after allegedly stabbing a man in Carver

The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries.

A Middleborough man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed a man in Carver on Saturday night, causing the victim to be hospitalized with serious injuries, Carver police said.

Officers responded to 21 Holmes Street around 9:19 p.m. for a report of a stabbing during an argument, and found a 42-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds to his torso, Carver police said in a statement.

Witnesses told officers that Alfred Thomas, 49, had stabbed the man, police said. Thomas fled the scene and was later arrested in Middleborough.
