Boston police are seeking to identify a suspect who allegedly stole someone’s dog in Dorchester on New Year’s Eve.

That night, the pet’s owner told police that his dog Lola, a black and white Shih Tzu, had been taken from outside the Dollar Store at 273 Columbia Road in Dorchester. He noticed her missing when he left the store at 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, according to police.
