Person struck by Red Line train at Fields Corner

The MBTA said regular rail service between JFK and Ashmont has resumed.

A person was struck by a Red Line train at Fields Corner station in Dorchester on Friday morning.

The Boston Fire Department was on scene around 8 a.m. for the report of a person under a train.

“A technical rescue team was able to remove the person, who was conscious and alert and was taken by Boston EMS ,” the department tweeted.

Train service was suspended just after 8 a.m. between JFK and Ashmont stations and replaced with shuttle buses, according to the MBTA. Regularly scheduled service resumed around 9 a.m. with the buses being phased out.
