A Quincy police officer rescued a saw-whet owl on Tuesday evening — making for the officer’s third owl rescue.

Officer Kaes transported the owl to the New England Wildlife Center for rehabilitation, Quincy police said on Facebook.

The department posted a photo of Kaes cradling the owl bundled in a blanket.

Saw-whet owls are one of the smallest owl species in Northern America, police said.
