Boston police announce St. Patrick’s Day parade-related arrests, citations

Officers issued 128 citations for public drinking.

Boston police officers issued 128 citations for public drinking and two marijuana citations at the 118th St. Patrick’s Day parade in South Boston on Sunday, according to a release.

Officers also issued three license premise violations and arrested three males on the following charges, per the release:

A 17-year-old male from Easton was charged with Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

A 20-year-old male from Taunton was charged with Affray and Assault and Battery.

A 22-year-old male from Green Harbor was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Those arrested have been arraigned in South Boston District Court, police say.

“We are grateful to all of our officers and department members who worked hard to ensure the safety of the parade participants and spectators along the route,” police said in the release. “Once again, we thank everyone who helped to make this event the family focused day it’s intended to be.”
