A man was killed in a motor vehicle crash at the Washington Street and Route 1 intersection in Dedham Monday morning, authorities said.
The collision happened around 8:30 a.m. and involved at least three vehicles, according to a statement from the Norfolk District Attorney’s office.
“The driver of the second car, which evidence suggests had traveled over a portion of traffic island prior to the collisions, was transported to an area hospital,” officials said.
The identity of the man killed in the crash has been withheld as family members are notified, authorities said. A third driver involved did not need to be brought to a hospital.
Dedham police are currently investigating the incident with assistance from Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk District Attorney’s Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit.
No charges were filed as of late Monday morning.
