A Maine hospital is set to see its own baby boom in the coming months.
Nine nurses in the Labor and Delivery Unit at Maine Medical Center in Portland are expecting babies between April and July.
The expectant mothers told WMUR they’ve been able to show support for one another during their pregnancies.
“It’s really nice coming to work and seeing other people who are just as pregnant and watching their bellies pop and just talking about these experiences that we are going through together,” Amanda Spear told the station.
“Something is definitely in the water here,” Brittney Verville wrote on Facebook, sharing two pictures of herself and her colleagues showing off their baby bumps.
“Lots of baby friends being made this summer,” she added.
The colleagues plan to support one another in their deliveries, according to WMUR.
“After each one of us started to say, ‘We’re pregnant,’ I think it was a happier announcement each time, and we’re all there for each other,” Erin Grenier told the station.
