MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — Three small Vermont Colleges that are closing are holding their final commencements.

Green Mountain College, the College of St. Joseph and Southern Vermont College all have graduations this weekend.

The schools say declining enrollment and financial issues facing other small schools in the Northeast have led to the closures.

The College of St. Joseph in Rutland and Southern Vermont College in Bennington hold their commencements Saturday. The graduation ceremony at Green Mountain College in Poultney takes place Sunday.
