2 motorcyclists killed in O’Neill Tunnel crash

Two motorcyclists were killed when they lost control of their cycles and crashed into a retaining wall in the Thomas P. O’Neill Tunnel in Boston Saturday morning, State Police said.

Jerry Alphonse, 28, of Everett and Aralt Cesaire, 26, of Medford were pronounced dead on the scene after hitting the left wall just before Exit 23 at about 2 a.m., according to a State Police statement.

Alphonse, riding a 2006 Honda CBR600, and Cesaire, riding a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R600, were with a group of other motorcyclists on Route 93 northbound when the crash occurred, State Police said.
