A driver on Interstate 93 in Wilmington was taken to a hospital with minor injuries on Wednesday morning after a block of wood flew through his windshield.
“The large piece of wood bounced from the southbound lane into the northbound lane striking his windshield,” officers wrote on Facebook, adding that the driver was “very lucky.”
Police noted that state law requires drivers to secure loose items.
