Boston man pulled from Revere Beach waters Tuesday has died

Officials said 58-year-old Thomas Burns's death is under investigation.

A Boston man who was pulled unresponsive from the waters off Revere Beach Tuesday has died, officials confirmed Wednesday.

Thomas Burns, 58, was pulled from the water by good Samaritans around 3 p.m. before state police troopers tried to resuscitate him.

Burns was taken to Everett Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

Massachusetts State Police Trooper James Deangelis said Burns was then transferred to Cambridge Hospital where he later died.

Deangelis said Burns’s family has been notified and the investigation into his death is ongoing.
