"The district is making every effort to quell the dissemination of these photos amongst students."

“Explicit” photos of a female teacher at at a New Hampshire high school were reportedly posted online without her consent and began circulating among students. Now she’s been placed on paid administrative leave as officials investigate.

Thomas Ambrose, superintendent of the district Sanborn Regional High School is a part of, issued a statement to the school community Tuesday.

“We are aware that there are explicit photos of the teacher online. These photos were private and have been posted online without her consent,” it read.

“Given the sensitive nature of the material, and because the photos were posted without the teacher’s consent, the district is making every effort to quell the dissemination of these photos amongst students,” Ambrose wrote. “We would appreciate any help that parents can provide in preventing the spread of this information.”

Kingston Police Chief Donald Briggs Jr. told the Union Leader there were also photos of former students posted to the same social media site where the teacher’s picture appeared. He declined to say what that website was.

“At this time we’re investigating the ages of the students that were posted and how and why they were posted to this particular site,” he told the paper.
