Police investigating ‘threatening note’ found at King Philip Regional High School

The note reportedly included "negative references toward the school’s wrestling team and its members.”

The person responsible for the “concerning note” was identified, according to school officials, and there is no threat to the school. Police do not intend to file charges.

A “threatening note” was found in the boys bathroom Friday night at King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham, according to a release from the school. 

The note did not reference specific acts of violence or weapons, the release said, but contained “threatening and vulgar language along with negative references toward the school’s wrestling team and its members.”

A high school staff member found the note around 6:30 p.m. crumpled up behind a toilet in the boys bathroom.

Wrentham police are investigating the situation.
