The young sisters who were killed in a single-car crash in Clinton, Maine, last week were laid to rest Tuesday.

The siblings, 14-year-old Emily and 12-year-old Ashlin Baker, died Feb. 9 when the car they were passengers in hit a patch of ice and stuck a tree off the roadway during the early morning hours. The sisters and another passenger, 15-year-old Thomas Porfirio, were killed. Another occupant of the car, a 12-year-old girl, was hospitalized with injuries. Authorities said the 16-year-old boy who was driving at the time of the crash did not have his license, and that his inexperience and speed appeared to be factors in the crash.
