Update: Woman’s remains found in West Roxbury spurs death investigation
The body was reportedly found in a swampy wooded area adjacent to Enneking Parkway on Saturday night.
The body of a woman was found in the Stony Brook Reservation in the West Roxbury section of Boston Saturday night, according to authorities.
State police detectives, crime scene specialists, and Boston police officers investigated the swampy wooded area adjacent to Enneking Parkway around 8:30 p.m. after a woman’s human remains were discovered and reported by a passerby, state police said in a news release.
Detectives are currently working to identify the body, believed to be an adult woman, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has begun a post-mortem examination to determine the cause and manner of death.
“In order to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation,” police wrote, “no further information is being released at this time.”
