No injuries reported after Orange Line train derails at Wellington Station

MBTA officials are warning passengers to expect delays in service.

Buses are replacing rail service between several stops on the Orange Line Tuesday after a train derailed at Wellington Station just before noon.

The northbound train was “moving at a slow rate of speed” crossing over to the southbound track to accommodate ongoing Orange Line maintenance work when it derailed at about 11:40 a.m., MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said in a statement. No one was injured.

Shuttle buses are operating between between the Oak Grove and Sullivan Square stations while the MBTA works to “re-rail” the train.
