The Everett community is mourning the passing of beloved Pop Warner cheerleading coach Kristin Fulton, who died in April days after giving birth to her daughter. 

The 38-year-old passed away April 23, and on Sunday, members of the community gathered for a candlelight vigil in her memory. She leaves behind her newborn daughter, Lenna, her husband, parents, and siblings.

Funeral services for Fulton were held Saturday

“Kristin was truly an inspirational person who touched the lives of so many people,” the City of Everett said in a statement after her death. 

A fundraiser to support her family on GoFundMe has raised more than $74,000. In her obituary, loved ones remembered the mother and coach for her passion for writing through high school and college, her dedication and devotion to the local cheering teams she worked with, and her love for Disney.

“Kristin cherished any time she was able to spend with family and friends,” her loved ones wrote. “She was a person who loved to laugh and make everyone smile. Kristin will be missed by all who knew her.”

Kristin L. Ciarlone-Fulton, of Lynn, formerly of Everett, age 38, passed away on April 23, 2021. Beloved wife of Greggory “Greg” Fulton. Cherished mother of Lenna Noel. Adored daughter of Robert & Marianne (Calderone) Ciarlone. Loving sister of Gina and her husband Javier Bauer. Loving aunt of Dylan and Jordan Bauer, Daicia Scott and Kayleigh Cunningham. Niece of Vincent and Cathy Calderone, John and Mary Calderone, Diane Ellis, Donald and Ellen Ciarlone, James Ciarlone, Stephen Greeley and Paula English. Cousin of Vin, Michael, Nicole, Nicholas, Hannah, Daria and Julia Calderone, Lisa Ciarlone, Terri and David Walsh and “sisters” Colleen Stabile and Maria Murray. Also, survived by her fur baby Vinny; father-in-law Robert Fulton; mother-in-law Debra Scott; sister-in-law Lynrose Scott; and many friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents Vincent and Gloria Calderone and Gertrude Ciarlone and her fur baby Charlie.

Kristin was raised in Everett and attended Immaculate Conception Grammar School, and graduated from Pope John High School and Salem State University. She loved writing poetry and short stories. Her work was published in the NS Poet Society. Kristin worked for the City of Everett for many years and volunteered at the local food pantry. Kristin was dedicated to Everett Pop Warner Cheering and other local cheering teams. As a cheering Coach, she always had the best routines. Kristin had a special knack for fashion and what trends were next, and always made shirts and items for her cheerleaders. She will be remembered for her kind heart and devotion to her community.

Greg and Kristin were married at Disney World in 2012. They both shared the love for traveling to Disney World. She had many friends from her Disney Facebook Page that followed her pictures and traveling tips. When going to Disney people would come up to her and introduce themselves. Kristin’s love for Disney was beyond words. During one of her visits to the park she bought gifts and handed them out to random children.

Kristin cherished any time she was able to spend with family and friends. She was a person who loved to laugh and make everyone smile. Kristin will be missed by all who knew her.
