Restrictions on outdoor water use will go into effect May 1. The restrictions, which run through Sept. 30, limit watering to between 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. on alternate days. Residents with even-numbered addresses can use water for nonessential activities on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Those with odd-numbered addresses can use water for nonessential activities on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Nonessential activities include lawn watering with sprinklers and automatic irrigation systems and washing cars; watering lawns and gardens by hand-held hoses is allowed. More information is available on the Department of Public Works page on the municipal website, www.townofhudson.org.
