Krista Ledin scored 10 times in the three Beacon wins, including all five in a shutout of Salve Regina on Oct. 14, earning Division 3 Player of the Week honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
The 5-foot-3 junior forward from Bridgewater is a scoring machine and a coach’s dream.
Ledin, who paces the Beacons (13-4), and the Little East Conference with 24 goals and 53 points, has scored six game-winning goals (19 for her career), representing 42 percent of the 45 games UMass-Boston has won during her career. Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
