Less than a month after three children were hurt in a New York bounce house accident, two more children were injured in Colorado when the “bounce slide’’ they were playing on was swept away by the wind.
The large inflatable slide was set up at the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Jamboree in Littleton when the wind picked up and carried it 300 feet across an open field, a local Fox affiliate reported. A young girl and a 10-year-old boy were injured.
According to a report from Colorado NBC affiliate KUSA, the girl was ejected from the slide as it began to blow away. Her injuries were treated at the scene. The boy was carried between 200 and 300 feet with the slide and had to be transferred to a hospital for evaluation. The report said his injuries were not believed to be serious.
On May 13, two boys and one girl were injured in South Glen Falls, New York when the wind picked up a bounce house and carried it nearly 100 feet into the air. The two boys, ages 5 and 6, had to be hospitalized.
