Over $70k raised for Billerica family after father dies in work accident
Craig Moody died after a piece of equipment fell on him at work last week.

Friends and loved ones have raised over $70,000 on GoFundMe for a Billerica man’s family after he died in a work accident last week.
Craig Moody, a husband and father of three, died at 58 from a brain injury after a piece of equipment fell on him at work last Wednesday, according to his wife Amber. He was described as adventurous, hardworking, handy, and loving at his funeral service.
“We are so humbled by the outpouring of love and support we have received over the past couple of days,” Amber wrote on Facebook. “The waves of sorrow are a new emotion that we are minute by minute learning to manage.”
Moody was a chief engineer for Synergy, a Boston-based real estate investment and management company, according to his LinkedIn profile. He previously worked as a work control supervisor at Tufts University and as the director of facilities at Grace Chapel, a megachurch with five locations across Eastern Massachusetts.
The GoFundMe for his family described Craig as the primary breadwinner for the family. Harrison Westwater, who organized the fundraiser, wrote that extra funds will go toward the family’s living expenses and his children’s education.
“Craig helped provide the stability and foundation of love, faith, and support that this family needed to thrive,” wrote Westwater. “Without him there is a gaping hole that can never be filled.”
Moody’s funeral service took place at Hope Christian Church in Winchester Sunday. Around 150 people attended the outdoor service.
