The worst part about this 101-word Men’s Health article is that it was written by a woman. The second-worst part is the headline. The third worst part is the premise. And then there’s the stock photo.
Boston.com reached out to the author, Teresa Sabga, who referred questions to Clint Carter, identified on his Twitter profile as a senior associate editor at Men’s Health. Carter did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Hours later, the magazine issued an apology and deleted the post:
Apologies for our “talk sports with her’’ story. It missed the mark and the negative feedback is justified. We’ve deleted it.
It wasn’t meant to suggest that women are in any way inferior to men, in sports, or anything else. But … we’re sorry that it did.
