Could The Boston Globe‘s Editorial Board be the ones who finally get Sen. Elizabeth Warren to run for president?
Warren has said many, many times that she isn’t running. But her hometown paper wants her to change her mind.
“Democrats would be making a big mistake if they let Hillary Clinton coast to the presidential nomination without real opposition, and, as a national leader, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren can make sure that doesn’t happen,’’ begins the editorial, entitled “Democrats need Elizabeth Warren’s voice in 2016 presidential race.’’
The Globe shares an owner with Boston.com, but the entities have separate oversight.
A spokeswoman for Warren did not respond to a request for comment Sunday morning. If she calls and tells us the senator has decided to go for it, rest assured that we’ll let you know.
