Texas Sen. Ted Cruz notched a victory in the Iowa Republican caucus, while former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders fought to a “virtual tie’’ in the Democratic caucus on Monday night. Donald Trump finished in second place among the Republican field, with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio nipping at his heels in third place.
