Donald Trump says he feels like a man half his age.
In a taped episode of the Dr. Oz Show Thursday, doctor-turned-TV host Dr. Mehmet Oz asked the 70-year-old Republican presidential nominee what he sees when he looks in the mirror.
“I would say I see a person who’s 35 years old,” Trump replied, later adding that he feels “as good today as [he] did at 30.”
“Tom Brady’s a friend of mine. We play golf together—the great quarterback; he’s a phenomenal guy, great athlete,” Trump said, plugging his relationship, as he does often, with the Patriots quarterback and longtime golfing buddy.
“I’m with him, and I feel the same age as him,” Trump said.
In the interview Thursday, Trump admitted that, at 6-foot-3 and 236 pounds, he is overweight and said he would like to lose 15 to 20 pounds. He described his primary form of exercise as standing and speaking at rallies, and “using a lot of motion.”
While abstaining from alcohol and tobacco, Trump’s fast food-heavy diet would be less than Brady-approved. Trump said Thursday he takes a statin to lower his cholesterol.
After reading the results from Trump’s recent physical exam, Oz said he would be “very happy” with him as a patient.
