“Slurs, lies & trash talk won’t stop the FBI from doing its job,” the Massachusetts senator tweeted.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren slammed President Donald Trump on Twitter on Friday after the commander-in-chief revived his often-used taunt for the Massachusetts Democrat and called for an FBI investigation into the Democratic National Committee.

Trump’s tweet referenced statements Warren made to the media Thursday, saying she believes the Democratic National Committee was rigged in favor of candidate Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential primaries.

Donna Brazile, the former interim acting chair of the DNC, detailed in book excerpts published by Politico how the Clinton campaign helped the DNC, which was in “significant debt” financially.

The president tweeted over the course of more than three hours Friday morning, criticizing Clinton, the DNC, and calling for the FBI and Justice Department to investigate.

Warren hit back with a barrage of tweets saying Trump’s statements won’t keep his own people “out of jail.”
