Kayleigh McEnany tells CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, ‘I don’t call on activists,’ at end of White House press briefing
Friday’s White House press briefing ended with a tense exchange between Trump Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany and Kaitlan Collins, a CNN White House correspondent.
“I don’t call on activists,” McEnany said before she left the lectern, a comment apparently directed at Collins.
“I’m not an activist and you hadn’t taken questions since Oct. 1 and you just took about five, Kayleigh,” Collins responded as McEnany walked out of the room.
“That’s not doing your job, your taxpayer-funded job,” she added.

Collins later followed up on Twitter: “It’s understandable why someone who hasn’t done their job — taking questions from reporters — in weeks would confuse someone else doing theirs with activism.”
