DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — Police say a screen shot of a Snapchat helped them arrest two University of New Hampshire students in the stabbing of another student.
Foster’s Daily Democrat reports a witness showed police a Snapchat photo depicting a knife and bloody hands and identified the two suspects that were shown in the photo.
The social media platform allows users to exchange pictures that disappear, but the witness took a screen shot of the photo.
Police say the photo led to the arrest of 20-year-old Matthew Gibbons and 21-year-old Eric Denning. Gibbons faces a first-degree assault charge and Denning is charged with second-degree assault and criminal liability.
Investigators say the 20-year-old remains in stable condition.
Denning’s attorney says his client had no involvement with the stabbing. It’s unclear if Gibbons has a lawyer.
