Senior Tyler Barnes, a converted tight end in just his second game as a running back, rushed for four touchdowns and 167 yards, all in the first half, to power the Minutemen (4-1, 1-0 Colonial) past the visiting Bulldogs (2-3, 0-1) in Charlton. Bay Path, which piled up 373 yards on offense, scored on its first three possessions, with Barnes lugging it in from 3, 72 and 50 yards, all in the first quarter. He added a 2-point conversion rush. Barnes had a 2-yard TD in the second period after senior defensive tackle Wesley Spots recovered a fumble at the Monty Tech 42. Anthony Baez caught a 12-yard TD pass from Kyle Thibeault, also in the second quarter, giving the Minutemen a 33-0 lead at halftime. Gabe Cruz added a 35-yard TD run in the third quarter, set up by junior cornerback Justin Sherman's interception. Adam Forgues scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter for the Bulldogs.
